Good for virtual

• Review of results (bloods, imaging reports)

• Chronic condition follow-ups (BP, diabetes, thyroid, etc.)

• Medication review / side effects discussion

• Pre-visit triage to decide if in-person is needed

Not suitable

• Emergencies (chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, etc.)

• Anything requiring an immediate physical exam/procedure

FAQs?

• What platform is used? We use Google Meet or WhatsApp video conferencing

• What do I need? Smartphone or laptop/ computer, stable internet, quiet room and your ID on hand (audio and video must be on and working)

• Can you issue scripts / referrals / sick notes? Yes, but only only if/when clinically appropriate. An in-person visit might be required depending on context

• Fees & payment? Please refer to the "Fee Policy" on the home page

• The patient should be in a private space and your identity will be confirmed at the start of the consultation

 

Telehealth guidance (HPCSA):

Virtual consultations are conducted in accordance with applicable professional and ethical guidelines. The clinician may determine that an in-person assessment is required
